Overview
The Controller works on maximizing return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, control, and reports. The Controller is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, set of controls and budgets for the company.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversees the accounting operators in the company.
- Preparing budgets.
- Track daily purchase order numbers/dollars.
- Overseeing regulatory reporting.
- Manage inventory levels to meet company goals.
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process.
- Implement vendor pricing changes
- Support continuous improvement and quality objectives.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
- Previous accounting experience preferred.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Good understanding of order processing and business/office documentation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing facilities is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize work and work accurately under pressure of deadlines with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to effectively communicate to top management, vendors, customers and other employees of the organization.
- Solid judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent customer communication.
- Sense of urgency in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Essential Physical / Mental Requirements:
- Interacting with employees, suppliers, or customers to meet position and business requirements.
- A majority of the time is spent working in an office environment with regular coordination of activities in a production facility.
