POSITION SUMMARY

The individual in this role assists with leading and coordinates the activities of workers involved in inventory discrepancies, daily cycle count reports, and confirmation of variances, inventory adjustments, product shortages, and monitoring inventory moves.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generates receiving reports and inventory requisitions for the items maintained.
  • Provides accurate and up-to-date inventory data essential for making purchasing decisions.
  • Verifies clerical computations by comparing them to the physical count of stock and makes necessary adjustments for any errors.
  • Prepares reports on inventory balance and shortages as required.
  • Assists in the supervision of the work performed by support personnel, including training for new hires.
  • Reviews the cost of inventory report and reconciles transactions with the inventory on hand.
  • Investigates and rectifies discrepancies on a daily basis.
  • Assists with reporting departmental key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maximizes production efficiency by implementing effective item placement strategies.
  • Safely and promptly loads items onto material handling equipment.
  • Operates material handling equipment, including RF devices, weight scales, and powered equipment such as forklifts, pickers, or pallet jacks.
  • Inspects material handling equipment, structures, or materials to identify and address any problems or defects.
  • Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.
  • Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture.
  • Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; 4 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Outlook, ERP Systems preferred
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills.
