Job Summary:
Mills Auto group, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Automotive Controller/Assistant to Controller. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the Accounting & Finance department, providing an exciting opportunity for career growth in the automotive industry. As the Automotive Controller/Assistant to Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all financial activities related to vehicle sales, leasing, service, and parts departments.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all financial activities related to vehicle sales, leasing, service, and parts departments.
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and analyze financial statements to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and policies, including tax compliance and reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient communication and execution of financial activities.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to dealership management on financial matters.
- Prepare and present financial reports to dealership management.
- Manage and supervise a team of accounting professionals.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Experience with dealership management systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
