Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMBS is hiring an Automation Specialist in Walton, KY. This position is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.FULL JOB DESCRIPTIONPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Technicians install, perform start-up/commissioning, maintain, troubleshoot, document, and repair a wide variety of industrial instrumentation, electronic monitoring, metering, controlling, and signaling devices used in the production of goods and services.
  • Assists in the Design and implementation of automated systems for use in diverse manufacturing and production environments such as batching controllers, vision inspection systems, robotics etc.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data loggers to interface with ERP systems.
  • Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical problems with automated systems to include robotic applications, database, server problems, programmable controllers, and other automation devices.
  • Identifying and repair malfunctions in equipment and possible causes for these malfunctions
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, industrial automation or related field preferred or associated degree with experience in related field.
  • Experience with the design and implementation of automated systems, utilizing programmable controllers, vision systems, robotics and other peripheral devices used in automation of production equipment.
  • Knowledge of Process control, P&ID drawings, Ladder Diagrams, Electrical fundamentals, Mechanical fundamentals, Basic flow, temperature, pressure, and level fundamentals and Problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to create process flow diagrams.
  • Ability to utilize PLC software such as Rockwell Automation Factory Talk and or similar software to modify and create automation programs.
  • Ability to program VFD’s
  • Use of SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Visio software a plus.
  • Reading technical documents
  • Basic computer proficiency, such as data entry and Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of safe working practices around moving and electrical equipment.
