Job Title : Lead Java Developer - API & Microservices (AWS)

Job Type : W2 / C2C / 1099

Location : Dallas, Texas

Responsibilities:

  • 10+ years of experience as a full-stack software developer in Java within both traditional and cloud-native organizations.
  • 6+ years of experience in building API architecture/management for REST APIs, Microservices, SOAP, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience in building and managing Microservices on AWS or other cloud platforms and container technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing serverless applications using AWS technologies.
  • Proficiency in coding practices that meet OWASP security standards.
  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD processes and technologies.
  • Experience in threat modeling, risk assessment techniques, and code reviews.
  • Experience working with document storage solutions such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, etc.
  • Proficiency using SDLC tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, or other Git-based source control systems.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment: Scrum and Kanban.
  • Good understanding of security protocols (e.g., OAuth, SAML).
  • Knowledge of Governance, Event-Driven Architecture, message-based architectures, and caching strategies and frameworks.
  • Expertise with container management and orchestration tools, infrastructure-as-code, modern build experience tools, and cloud integration systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the API platform, API accessibility, and API deployments.
  • Perform root cause analysis for production issues and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Participate in grooming technical user stories impacting integration.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
