Lead our team of dedicated Intelligence Analysts in the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office as the Intelligence Analyst Supervisor. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, relevance, and adherence to agency standards of the intelligence produced. By providing guidance, training, and support, you will nurture the professional growth and operational efficiency of your team.

Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between the Intelligence Unit and other agency segments, as well as external organizations, to enhance intelligence-sharing. Engage stakeholders through transparent communication to shape strategic and tactical intelligence. Utilize your analytical expertise to identify patterns and trends, develop investigative leads, and comply with federal regulations governing criminal intelligence systems.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN AN INTELLIGENCE ANALYST SUPERVISOR

Successful candidates for the Intelligence Analyst Supervisor position at Hamilton County Sheriff's Office must possess a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a relevant social science, OR relevant training and experience in the field intelligence. (5-7 years work experience preferred).

Demonstrating proficiency in crime and intelligence analysis software, statistical tools, and knowledge of relevant laws is essential. Candidates should exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail to draw accurate conclusions. Effective communication, and the ability to handle confidential matters with sound judgment are crucial.

Experience in supervisory roles preferred (1-2 years). Must become an IALEIA Criminal Intelligence Certified Analyst within three years of appointment. Proficiency in analytical tools like ArcGIS and MS Office programs are required. A background in law enforcement procedures, crime analysis, and intelligence-gathering methodologies will contribute to success in this role. Must possess a valid driver's license.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Relevant laws affecting intelligence collection admissibility and liability; leading and foundational works in policing and law enforcement.
  • Structure and process of law enforcement.
  • Federal, state, and local laws regarding law enforcement practices and procedures.
  • Sheriff's Office policies and procedures.
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines; examine data/information discern variations/similarities and identify trends relationships and causal factors; grasp issues.
  • Compare observations or finished work to what is expected to find inconsistencies.
  • Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Use agency implemented programs pertaining to intelligence related activities.
  • Public speaking; leadership and management.
  • Safe operation of Sheriff's unmarked vehicle when needed.
  • Professional-level work involving extensive research, analysis, or data compilation and correlation.
  • Researching through law enforcement databases.
