Production Operations Manager - Veteran Wanted

Location: Macon, GA

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the production team, including supervisors, operators, and support staff, to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the manufacturing facility.
  • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet production targets and customer demands while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Optimize production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement measures to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Monitor and analyze production performance metrics, identifying trends and making data-driven decisions to enhance productivity and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety throughout the production facility.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality control teams to address production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor production staff, providing guidance and support to foster a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized production environment and ensure equipment and machinery are properly maintained.

Qualifications:

  • Military veteran with proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience in production management, with a track record of meeting production targets and driving process improvements.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in using productivity software and ERP systems to manage production operations.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of production.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
