Title AP/AR Specialist

Compensation: Up to $27/hr dependent on applicable experience.

Addison Group is supporting a client in Wayzata in their search for an experienced AP/AR Specialist. We're seeking someone with a background in full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable processing, which encompasses responsibilities such as 3-way matching, coding/posting to the GL, billing, resolving AR discrepancies, and managing invoice processing. This is a full-time, on-site role offering compensation of up to $27/hr, based on relevant experience. Kindly note that this position is exclusively available to residents of Minnesota.


Accounts Receivable Duties:

  • Oversee customer invoicing procedures and provide extensive assistance for all customer billing aspects.
  • Monitor and record utility rebate payments, proactively addressing any discrepancies.
  • Identify and promptly communicate any hindrances, problems, or concerns to the Finance Leadership team.
  • Process and manage full-cycle accounts receivable, including receiving, coding, and applying payments.
  • Perform reconciliations of customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate coding of AR transactions to the general ledger.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to resolve inquiries and establish strong relationships.

Accounts Payable Duties:

  • Process and manage full-cycle accounts payable, including receiving, coding, and paying invoices.
  • Perform 3-way matching for invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate coding of invoices to the general ledger.
  • Process expense reports, initiate ACH payments, and manage banking information.
  • Prepare and process 1099 forms and maintain vendor records.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve inquiries and establish strong relationships.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems for AP management.
