Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSUMMARY - The Kitchen Utility Worker maintains the kitchen work areas, dishes and restaurant equipment in clean and orderly conditions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
- Holds inverted glasses over revolving brushes to clean inside surfaces.
- Washes pots, pans and trays.
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
- Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Sorts bottles and breaks disposable ones in bottle crushing machine.
- Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth.
- Delivers and stocks food to specified area.
- Receives food and places hot food in warmers and cold food and salads into reach-ins.
- Keeps warmers/refrigerators clean throughout the shift.
- Ensures proper labeling and rotation of foods
- Stir food frequently to avoid dryness and cold on top.
- Ensure freshness of food items.
- Ensures work areas are clean and sanitized
- Understands and observes all health and safety regulations
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Empty trash, mop floors, wipe and sanitize areas.
- Refill ice dispensers.
- Stock all beverages including sodas and milk.
- Stock cups, silverware, plates and condiments.
- Deep cleans as needed.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with fellow Team Members, Guests and Vendors.
- Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
- Other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - None.
QUALIFICATIONS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
- Must be able to lift and move 50+ pounds.
- Must be available to work required shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Previous demonstrated success in meeting attendance requirements.
