American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for a Database Administrator for our organization. This position will be a remote role and report to the Vice President of Information Technology.


As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the database. You will also be involved in planning and development, troubleshooting, and ensuring the overall efficiency of the organization's databases.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with database design and normalization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Skills

  • Database programming and scripting skills.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.


Certifications (Optional)

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
  • AWS Certified Database - Specialty
