Job Title: Financial Operations Analyst- OnsiteDepartment: FinanceReports To: Financial Analyst Manager & Financial Controller
Job Summary: The Financial Analyst is responsible for producing current, forecasted, and historical financial data for departments, programs, and service lines (recurring and adhoc). The position develops financial model and supports various strategic initiatives for the organization. The analyst works closely with the CFO, Controller, accounting personnel, financial planning personnel, and senior leadership and reports directly to the Financial Analysis Manager and Financial Controller.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Recurring reporting including, but not limited to, Contractual Allowance analysis, labor productivity, profitability reports, and third party surveys.
- Non-recurring reporting requiring summarization of data, recommendations, and conclusions.
- Assists Financial Analysis Manager with maintenance of the Cost Accounting System.
- Works with team members in the Finance department and leadership to identify new profitable services through feasibility analysis.
- Produces pro-formas to guide management in decision-making efforts.
- Participates with consultants on organizational initiatives.
- Presents financial information and/or provides financial support during senior leadership presentations.
- Assists with internal and external benchmarking/benchmark analysis.
- Finance-related committee membership (BPIC, products committee, cost saving committee).
- Provide coverage to Financial Analyst 1 for Daily reporting responsibilities.
- All other assigned duties
Requirements:
Education - bachelor's degree in accounting/business-related field.
Experience - Minimum of 3-5 years of employment experience in an accounting/business environment, preferably healthcare. Strong analytical skills, which include knowledge of statistics with the ability to interpret financial data with respect to the interrelatedness of the statistical data. Must possess strong communication and presentation skills.
Licensure - N/A
Physical Requirements - 90% sitting 10% standing.
