Award-winning consortium of oil & gas, forestry, and construction companies is seeking a Controller to manage and run all financial and accounting operations for its main office, located outside of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area.
Core responsibilities include managing an in-house accounting team, preparing and managing monthly and year-end financial closings and statements including consolidations for multiple locations and subsidiaries.
This company is a rapidly growing enterprise that is committed to its community and delivering excellence at every level of the organization.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10-15 years of accounting experience, with 3+ years serving in a leadership role such as Senior Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller and/or Controller.
- B.S. or B.A. in Accounting
- Experience managing financial analysis and reporting for a company with billings in excess of $15 Million or more.
- Knowledge of FIFO inventory management, reconciliation and cost accounting is preferred.
- Track record of developing and implementing internal controls and identifying improvements for existing process.
- Experienced with QuickBooks, data entry, reporting and have ability to pick up and train new software programs as necessary.
- Advanced excel skills with proven knowledge of complex functions and pivot tables.
- Leadership skills with ability to motivate, train, and manage a diverse team of accounting professional located both on and off-site.
