H&K Equipment, headquartered in Pittsburgh with additional locations in West Virginia, is a leading provider of forklifts, container handlers, railcar movers, utility vehicles, and more. Taylor Northeast, headquartered near Reading with multiple branch facilities from Baltimore to New Hampshire, carries a matching portfolio of lift trucks and railcar movers as well as industrial floor sweepers and scrubbers. Yard Truck Specialists, headquartered immediately adjacent to Philadelphia with a secondary location in Harrisburg, is America’s highest-volume dealer of Kalmar Ottawa spotter trucks and parts.

We are seeking a Fixed Asset Analyst to assist with administering the equipment fleets at these central companies in our corporate group. Your primary duties will include tracking, reporting, and managing the lifecycles of the companies’ equipment. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proactive in nature and detail oriented. Rental experience in heavy equipment, trucks, or mobile material handling machines is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Run analysis and accounting metrics to benchmark units going into the fleet and when to exit the rental fleet.
  • Proactively identify assets that are becoming too costly and recommend disposal, moving to a different environment, or replacing them in a timely manner for budgeting purposes.
  • Use a tracking system to ensure all scheduled maintenance is completed on time.
  • Use standard operating procedures to track all equipment to minimize redundancies and errors (e.g., QR codes, RFID tags, hour meter readings).
  • Track and report the profitability of an asset per hour, YTD, and LTD.
  • Work closely with service mechanics and managers to better understand the assets, how they are used, and repair costs.
  • Create a notification process to let managers know when assets are idle for extended periods.
  • Run weekly and monthly reports for asset utilization.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand equipment lifecycles
  • Strong operational and forecasting skills
  • Solid Excel and analytical skills
  • Travel to branch locations as needed
