PT Support Associate

The role of the Support Associate Position is to assist the staff in providing indirect resident care needs.

The Support Associate Position reports to and receives assignments from the Unit Manager / Nursing Supervisor.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/CREDENTIALS
  • High School education, presently in High School or in College Program
  • Interested in Health Care
  • Must be able to read, write comprehend and speak English.
  • Must be able to communicate with persons who may be visually and/ or hearing impaired.
  • Basic to Intermediate computer skills required
  • Work performance reflects the essential elements of Fellowship Community's R.I.S.E Core Values
  • Successful completion of Fellowship Community Orientation
  • Meets the requirements of the Pre-Hire Assessment
  • All Fellowship Community employees must be fully vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19. Fellowship Community may provide an exemption to any eligible employee with a qualifying medical condition that contraindicates receipt of the vaccine or on the basis of a sincerely held religious belief and practice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Pass out linens, briefs, and gowns to residents as required by shift.
  • Fill water cups for residents and place in room.
  • Answer call lights and if not able to carry out request refer to the Team Leader/Certified Nursing Assistant for direction making sure call bells are within reach.
  • Snack and Fluid Passes with emphasis on the diabetic residents.
  • Hand out and collect food trays.
  • Assist with transporting residents to the main dining room and other dining areas.
  • Painting nails as needed.
  • Assist with feeding residents after receiving education.
  • Change bed linens according to facility procedures.
  • Provide one on one resident support/observation when necessary.
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis.
