Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Analyst to join our team. As a Cost Analyst, you will be responsible for performing cost analysis accounting functions in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding SAP/general technical literacy and will be driven to exceed customer & company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute month-end closing procedures with accuracy, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards for financial integrity, while also preparing financial statements and margin reports.
  • Identify and analyze cost drivers within manufacturing processes, including conducting detailed analysis of material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Utilize SAP software for various functions, including performing standard versus actual cost analysis and generating reports.
  • Monitor inventory reserves and review inventory valuations to determine appropriate reserves.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets to support financial planning objectives, while also conducting pricing analysis and calculations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 1-10 years experience OR combination of internships and education
  • Understanding of accounting within manufacturing, preferrably international/global company presence
  • Excellent technical literacy with SAP and MS Office
  • Full understanding of Routings and BOMs
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial report interpretation
