Summary

The Lot Porter Position supports the sales function by pulling cars from inventory, transporting, and maintaining show-room ready inventory. The Lot Porter is responsible for moving the units throughout the sales process from customer demonstration to make-ready and through delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the sales process with vehicle movement and placement.
  • Ensure all vehicles are clean and in good repair on the lot and in the showroom.
  • Move vehicles to and from designated areas including on the lot, the storage area and from one dealership to another.
  • Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly, free from debris and according to dealership display standards.
  • Inspect incoming vehicles to detect damage and to verify the accessories listed on the invoice.
  • Catalog and store vehicle manuals and keys.
  • Prepare the vehicles daily for demo including wash, rinse, lock, unlock.
  • Maintain the vehicle window stickers ensuring proper placement and display.
  • Assist in delivering the vehicle by making it fully ready to demonstrate including set radio, clock, compass, fuel economy readings and apply Foundation Auto Group decals.
  • Fill fuel tank to designated levels.
  • Transport customers and other dealership personnel.
  • Assist with physical inventory of units.
  • Maintain positive customer interactions to build and maintain loyalty.
  • Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Foundation Automotive brand.
  • Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening
  • Authorization to work in the USA
