The Kiski School seeks a coach to join its varsity soccer coaching staff. This is a part-time position beginning in August 2024. Kiski’s soccer program consists of an elite boys varsity level team that has won four consecutive Pennsylvania Independent School Athletic Association championships, a highly competitive junior varsity level boys team, and in fall 2024 Kiski will play its inaugural season of girls soccer as the school transitions to co-education. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to skillfully support players and coaches on each of the three teams that make up Kiski’s soccer program. This member of the coaching staff will report to Kiski’s Director of Soccer Operations. 


Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include: 


■ Develop and implement training sessions and strategies to improve team performance.

■ Provide guidance and instruction to players on individual skills, tactics, and game strategies. 

■ Analyze opposing teams and develop game plans accordingly. 

■ Manage team logistics, including scheduling matches, arranging transportation, and coordinating equipment. 

■ Foster a positive team culture and support player development both on and off the field.

■ Build relationships with players, coaches, and agents to facilitate recruitment efforts.

■ In coordination with the Admissions Office, speak with prospective students who have an interest in soccer, and share insights about the school's team, training facilities, and opportunities for growth. Help prospective students understand the benefits of joining the Kiski soccer teams. 

■ Travel, including on occasional weekends, to games around the region and the state will be required. 


Qualifications: 


■ Previous soccer coaching experience, preferably at the high school, or collegiate level.

■ The ability to coach boys and girls is preferred with preference given to candidates who have prior experience coaching girls soccer 

■ Strong understanding of soccer tactics, techniques, and rules. 

■ Excellent communication and leadership skills. 

■ Ability to work effectively with players of varying skill levels and ages.

■ Excellent networking and communication skills. 

■ Must possess a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a background check
