Tang & Biscuit is about food & fun for all With a newly reimagined menu a completely renovated kitchen, Tang & Biscuit is looking for experienced and enthusiastic Line Cooks to join our team.
Overview
With the help of the Kitchen Manager & Prep Cooks, the Line Cook is also responsible for the preparation of all the ingredients, including chopping, peeling and cutting. Our Line Cooks must uphold all standards of health and quality in the kitchen ensuring EVERY delicious bite meets or exceeds the standards of Tang & Biscuit and Health Department requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing ingredients to use in cooking
- Ensure outstanding presentation of menu offerings
- Ensuring constant highest quality of food used
- Monitoring inventory levels and informing management of shortages
- Ensure proper food storage
- Maintain cleanliness standards at all times. Use chemicals correctly per training provided.
- Use equipment correctly and once correct training is completed.
- Monitor equipment function to ensure appropriate usage. Report any concerns or issues to management.
- Ability to follow sanitation procedures and assist with all team members doing the same.
- Ability to give clear directions and take direction well.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 1 years of restaurant or food service Line Cook experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Excellent communication, time management and organization skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced team while remaining positive and polite.
- Energy and enthusiasm
- Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Wednesday-Thursday 4pm-9:30pm
Friday 4pm-11:30pm
Saturday 12pm-11:30pm
Sunday 9am-9pm *1x-3x per month
