Senior Financial Analyst

Incline P&C Group is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join their hardworking and effective financial team. This role will report to the VP - Finance & Accounting Operations and support US GAAP and NAIC Statutory financial reporting for our Holding Company and P&C Insurance Carriers. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and able to prioritize and plan work activities within time restraints in a dynamic environment. Duties include US GAAP and NAIC Statutory financial reporting, consolidations, and audit support.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports for both GAAP and Statutory financials.
  • Review of journal entries in compliance with US GAAP and NAIC Statutory Accounting Principles, including Statutory to GAAP adjustments
  • Support the annual GAAP and Statutory financial audits.
  • Provide support for audit tax filings and other compliance activities.
  • Identify and communicate accounting discrepancies and anomalies.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing of financial deliverables to facilitate review and analysis.
  • Assist in the GAAP consolidation process.
  • Assists in researching new and/or existing accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Perform other projects and support staff as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Prior Property and Casualty Insurance Industry experience
  • 5 years of US GAAP accounting and financial reporting concepts
  • Understanding of the principles of consolidation
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience using Insurance Accounting Software, EAS, QuickBooks, and Workday Financials
  • Big 4 Public Accounting Experience
  • SOX experience
