Position Purpose:

Provide Engineering support for the re-engineering of Common Rail Fuel Injectors and Pumps for Diesel Engines

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reengineering to produce models and drawings for existing products
  • Develop and coordinate the validation testing for new product launches
  • Inspect sample of core for new products being evaluated to determine reusability and rework options for business case
  • Provide engineering support and drive cost reduction of existing products
  • Investigate the scope and risks associated with potential new product to assist in development of a business case
  • Evaluate core and develop inspection documents for sorting out core for use in the remanufacturing of High-Pressure Fuel Pumps and/or Diesel Fuel Injectors
  • Develop specifications where needed for the assembly and test of product
  • Develop and track the DVP&R as part of the validation of remanufactured product
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to develop rework methods and processes to maximize reuse of core components.
  • Cost reduction initiatives on current products
  • New business initiatives investigations

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in the remanufacturing of a product (or) product development
  • 1 year of experience CREO 3.0 CAD Software
  • Expert in DVP&R, DFMEA, and PFMEA processes
  • Knowledge of APQP/Launch processes
  • Capable of doing tolerance analysis
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Excellent Communication Skills
