Wellness Recovery Center is an Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Center fairly new to Mercer County. We are located in West Windsor, NJ, our facility offers traditional & holistic methods for treating substance abuse in a Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) setting.

WRC is looking to hire a Group Facilitator to join the team There are full-time and part-time positions available.

The group facilitator plans and implements weekly program groups that may include group activities, indoor or outdoor activities, exercise and other creative and expressive therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts group educational/recreational activity sessions.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation including progress notes of type of activity and client.
  • Participation, to be documented in charts within 24 hours of service provided.
  • Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversity of clients and staff.
  • Develops and updates activity schedules as needed.
  • Maintains safe recreation or therapy supplies and is responsible for safety security of these supplies.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Registration/Certification in related educational or therapeutic fields. Minimum of two years experience in working with persons suffering from mental illness and/or substance abuse preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of referrals, both in and out of the program.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess valid drivers license.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required, obtained upon employment and maintained current thereafter.
  • Criminal background clearance required.
  • Health screen, proof of MMR vaccination or antibodies, negative TB test results.
