Cashier/Rental Desk Clerk

We are looking for an enthusiastic, community-oriented Cashier/Rental Desk Clerk to join our growing dealership's team. Cashier/Rental Desk clerks receive orders for repairs, rentals, and services. They provide information and recommendations to customers, handle cash transactions, and keep records. Cashier/Rental Desk clerks train customers on basic equipment use and safety guidelines, and provide advice for their particular situation.


To be successful as a Cashier/Rental Desk Clerk, top candidates will be fun, loyal, empathetic, professional and personable individuals, with a passion for great customer service.


Cashier/Rental Desk Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Responding to incoming calls
  • Greeting and assisting customers, and treating all clientele with courtesy and respect.
  • Logging customer details and comments in our system.
  • Asking questions to assist in diagnostics of vehicle issues.
  • Tracking progress of each vehicle service.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Answering customers' questions regarding vehicle repairs and assessed costs.
  • Accepting payments from customer upon completion of services.
  • Ensuring potential customers are aware of any promotions.
  • Assisting with various other tasks at the dealership.


Cashier/Rental Desk Clerk Requirements:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent phone skills.
  • Highly organized, with an ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software and the Internet.
  • Positive, professional and personable demeanor.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Education:
