Nexus Talent Connect Seeks Senior Litigation Attorney-Mass Torts for Prominent North Carolina Law Firm 


A well-established personal injury firm located in Wilmington, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney - Mass Torts to join its rapidly expanding team Our firm is committed to client satisfaction; therefore, candidates must have solid personal injury experience. We are looking for a North Carolina licensed attorney who is plaintiff-minded and will act as an assertive advocate for our clients affected by the Camp Lejeune water issue. This position is available in Wilmington, NC, or Charlotte, NC


Responsibilities

  • Drafting lawsuits, drafting and responding to discovery, taking depositions, and conducting mediations and trials.
  • Manage and guide the work of the paralegals and provide support to the team for both civil litigation and Camp Lejeune cases.
  • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve client's needs after analysis
  • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action.
  • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as briefs, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence.
  • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.
  • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceeding


Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of Personal Injury trial experience
  • Experience in federal courts preferred
  • Experience with mass torts preferred
  • Proficiency in writing, research, and negotiation
  • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
  • Ability to work in a paperless environment and navigate easily in online software
  • Must be able to handle complex caseloads with little supervision
  • Must be an active member of your local bar association, with a current JD and no disbarment on record, and NC State Bar licensed
  • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
