Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure for deploying and monitoring applications. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to streamline our software development lifecycle and ensure efficient delivery of high-quality products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Automation:

    • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
    • Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of infrastructure and services across multiple environments (development, testing, production).
  2. Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD):

    • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
    • Enable automated testing and quality checks to ensure reliability and consistency of deployments.
  3. Monitoring and Logging:

    • Set up and configure monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack) to monitor infrastructure, applications, and services.
    • Implement logging solutions to capture and analyze logs for troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
  4. Security and Compliance:

    • Implement security best practices and principles in infrastructure design and deployment.
    • Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Implement and manage access control, encryption, and security configurations.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and provide infrastructure solutions.
    • Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure and application components.
    • Communicate and document infrastructure and deployment processes for knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
  6. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in DevOps, infrastructure automation, and cloud technologies.
    • Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and cost savings in infrastructure and deployment processes.
    • Drive initiatives to improve scalability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure and applications.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (X+ years) as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar role, with expertise in building and maintaining scalable infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and principles in cloud and infrastructure environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
