Job Summary

Restore is seeking a dedicated Telemedicine Patient Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a seamless telemedicine experience for our clients from pre-appointment preparation to post-appointment follow-up. As a Telemedicine Patient Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for healthcare providers, and administrative staff, coordinating appointments, managing patient information, and facilitating billing procedures for our clients across our studios.

Responsibilities

Pre-Appointment Preparation:

  • Review patient charts in the EMR system (Advance MD) to ensure all required labs and data are accurately documented and up-to-date prior to appointment scheduling.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to gather any missing information or documents necessary for appointments.
  • Ensure all relevant patient information is organized and readily accessible for healthcare providers.
  • Ensure tracking of the patient as they progress through onboarding and the telemedicine journey

Appointment Scheduling:

  • Utilize text messaging or other messaging platforms to confirm appointments with clients on the day of their scheduled visit.
  • Provide appointment details and instructions to clients, including time, and any preparations required before the appointment.
  • Address any client inquiries or concerns regarding their appointments promptly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for studio staff regarding appointment times for clients.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and adjustments as needed, ensuring efficient use of healthcare provider's time and optimal client experience.

Billing Initiation:

  • Work closely with healthcare providers to initiate billing procedures upon approval of prescriptions.
  • Coordinate billing processes with clients, ensuring accurate documentation and timely payment submission.

Prescription Management:

  • Alert the NP of the need to send prescriptions based on patient requests or healthcare provider recommendations.
  • Confirm prescriptions are sent to pharmacies promptly and accurately.

Patient Communication:

  • Gather questions from patients to ask the NP during appointments, ensuring patient concerns are addressed.
  • Communicate NP's responses and recommendations to patients promptly and accurately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare coordination or administration, preferably in a clinic/medical office setting as well as telemedicine setting.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly experience with AMD or similar software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of medical billing procedures, prescription management, and appointment scheduling practices is highly desirable.
