Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a GIS Specialist for the planning, modeling, permitting and design of various water, wastewater, and stormwater related infrastructure projects in our Hollywood, Florida office.
Responsibilities for this position may include the following:
- Create, manage, validate, edit and maintain various types of GIS data, including spatial databases
- Support enterprise GIS databases and services
- Provide GIS training support, as necessary
- Manage and coordinate GIS-focused tasks and initiatives
- Perform QA/QC review of GIS data and compile metadata
- Digitize, scan and georeference maps, engineering drawings and imagery
- Develop tools and workflows to automate and streamline mapping, data management and geoprocessing tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements:
B.S. or B.A. Computer Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Land Use Planning, or directly related discipline with related work experience required.
