Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team The ideal candidate will have experience in both phlebotomy and medical billing and coding This dual-role position is crucial in ensuring our patients receive the best care and that our administrative processes run smoothly

Key Responsibilities:

Phlebotomy:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture procedures to obtain blood samples
- Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens
- Maintain a clean and organized phlebotomy area
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols

Billing and Coding:
- Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient billing records

Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant CMA or Registered Medical Assistant RMA certification preferred
- Phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience required
- Experience with medical billing and coding preferably in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
- Proficient in using electronic health records EHR and medical billing software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
