Enrollment Advisor

Job Summary and Objective:

The Enrollment Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and guidance to potential and current students and their families throughout the enrollment and financial aid process. They will provide information on admissions requirements, available programs of study, and the school's facilities and resources. They will also determine financial aid eligibility within the parameters of institutional, state, and federal requirements. The Enrollment Advisor is responsible to maintain a thorough knowledge of available types of financial aid, scholarships, and general student eligibility criteria.

A successful candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills to ensure prospective students fully understand the requirements for admission, program expectations, and available resources. They must have an unwavering commitment to providing exceptional customer service, following the law, and abiding by diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. A successful candidate will understand financial aid processing, be able to effectively articulate financial options, and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy to ensure compliance.

Essential Functions:

  • Works with the lead specialist to schedule both in-person and virtual meetings to facilitate tours of the school facility.
  • Conduct and lead tours for prospective students and their families.
  • Provide advising throughout the financial aid process to prospective and current students and their families.
  • Assist with organizing and participating in recruitment events, such as the Open Houses and career fairs.
  • Participates in enrollment and financial aid training via virtual and/or on-site, in-person events.
  • Complete financial aid processing up to receipt of a clean ISR and/or agreed upon financial game plan.
  • Ensure the processing of financial aid records are in accordance with federal and state regulations and prepare departmental reports.
  • Follow up on and respond to all prospective and current students in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of available types of financial aid, scholarships, payment options and general student eligibility criteria.
  • Ensure goal of timely turnaround for all admissions and financial aid applications.
  • Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations.
  • Attend and actively participate in school functions and professional financial aid training sessions.
  • Keep up to date with compliance requirements, including federal and state regulations, deadlines, and school policies.
  • Update and manage the lead database in the CRM.
  • Follow all communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

  • Proficiently uses Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite and Apple products.
  • Ability to perform simple accounting procedures.
  • Strong record-keeping and maintenance skills.
  • Maintains a professional image and demeanor at all times, reflecting the values and standards of the school.

Education/Experience:

  • Two+ years of experience in roles with sufficient transferable experience to demonstrate practical equivalence.

Terms of Employment:

  • Employment Status: Full-time, 100% on campus
  • Hours of Employment: 40 hours/week, with occasional evenings/weekends
