Steward Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the stewarding team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability.
• Operations Oversight: Oversee all aspects of stewarding and dishwashing operations, including dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and organization.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
• Hygiene and Sanitation: Ensure all kitchen equipment, tableware, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and organized according to industry standards.
• Team Training: Train and develop stewarding staff in proper cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all culinary areas, working closely with chefs and culinary teams.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and practices to maintain a safe and accident-free work environment.
• Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and cost control measures related to stewarding operations.
• Communication: Foster effective communication between culinary teams and stewarding staff to ensure seamless operation.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) Highly recommended
• Previous experience in a stewarding or dishwashing leadership role preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.

Physical Demands:

• The role involves standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Food Handler's Certificate preferred
