Located in Wharton, NJ, Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC (GWTT) is a leading environmental contractor located in Wharton, NJ. We offer design/build services for temporary and permanent treatment systems, and operation and maintenance services for a variety of soil, groundwater, and wastewater treatment systems. GWTT provides construction, dewatering, remediation, and environment construction services.

Position: Electrical Designer

Experience Required: 5+ years in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Reporting to: Shop Manager

Core Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Standards Oversight: Act as a vital member of GWTT's electrical safety review board, ensuring arc flash analysis and collaborations with arc flash vendors.
  • Estimation and Design: Lead in the creation of single-line drawings, materials billing, and conduit layouts. Ensure designs adhere to NEC/ANSI standards.
  • Vendor and Equipment Management: Secure vendor quotes, oversee incoming equipment inspections, and guide equipment selections for upcoming projects.
  • On-Site Engineering: Lead site installations, conduct field electrical troubleshooting (in-person and via video conferencing), and facilitate local travel for site work.
  • Team and Project Management: Direct project-specific teams, facilitate peer reviews, and spearhead work planning, ensuring practicality and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen is mandatory.
  • 5+ years in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Prior experience in the environmental field is a plus.
  • OSHA 40-hour training familiarity is advantageous; however, training will be provided for the right fit.
