Cook at Forestburgh Playhouse

Forestburgh Playhouse in Forestburgh, NY is looking for one cook to join our team for the summer season. We are located on 39 Forestburgh Road. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged.

Our business is mainly in-house catering and feeding the staff (known as "the company") or the patrons of the playhouse. Everything we do is volume based and timing is key for each meal. It is a fun place to work

Responsibilities

• Company Lunches daily.
• Set up workstations
• Cook dishes to business standards
• Follow health and safety guidelines
• Prepare ingredients for use during shift

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a cook
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively

ABOUT US

• We feed the company lunch and dinner daily from mid June through the weekend after Labor June through second week of September, but may be through the end of October
• Dinner Cabaret for patrons: Monday-Friday.
• Special events - weekends mid-May through mid-June and in the fall. Bar food for weekend night time events as scheduled.
• We all work together, Cooks will do dishes, and dishwashers will help prep. We all clean.
• Experience preferred but will train.
