As a Welder (also known as Fabrication Specialist, Welding Technician), you'll be responsible for welding materials to precise dimensions and tolerances as defined by work instructions. Your duties will include applying metal banding, end trim band, load band, and working as part of a team. You'll also operate and use various power tools and machinery, including overhead and jib cranes, power saws, presses, grinders, cutting torches, band saws, cold saws, table saws, routers, and welders.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in MIG & TIG welding and metal fabrication.
  • Ability to read and understand standard units of measure, and perform basic arithmetic without a calculator.
  • Experience in crane operation, metal processing, and material handling equipment.
  • Proficiency in using various hand power tools.
  • Knowledge of Welding 101, weld symbols, and usage of fillet weld gauges is preferred.
  • AWS certifications in D1.1, D1.5, D1.6, and/or D1.2 are desirable.
  • Experience with complex fit up and fixturing, and the ability to read, comprehend and interpret blueprint drawings is a plus.
