The Charles River Center provides innovative opportunities, services, and supports for over 950 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury and mental health challenges, in the Metrowest and Southeast regions of Massachusetts.

Recreation Group Leaders are responsible for working with multiple individuals with ID/DD in a site and/or community-based setting.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Integrate the individuals into the community and actively participate with them during community-based activities as appropriate.

While working with the individuals in the community, adequate supervision will be provided at all times.

Work with individuals on behavior management, personal development, social skills, communication, physical development & activities of daily living as applicable.

Create opportunities for various activities including games, sports, arts & crafts, swimming, exercise, sports, music, etc. as appropriate.

Provide care for the individuals as needed. This may include assistance with meals, toileting, or helping with feeding of meals.

Organize and facilitate groups of up to at least five individuals.

Perform other duties as assigned.
