Job DescriptionJob Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Candidate must be able to clean, sanitize, and store kitchen equipment, glassware and utensils according to proper industry standards within specified time lines in safe and controlled manner. Candidate must have a basic knowledge of cleaning compounds and will be expected to perform the assorted cleaning and sanitation needs of all appropriate culinary areas. Candidate will be held accountable to have a working knowledge of necessary cleaning equipment and to alert their supervisor or Chef on duty of any equipment failures or needed maintenance immediately. Candidate will be expected to perform their duties in various working environments such as in deep freezers and around steam cleaning equipment. Candidate will use equipment that uses water, steam, and heat for safe maintaining of food contact surfaces. Candidate is responsible for all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must be able to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Candidate must be physically able to repeatedly lift, bend, reach, stoop, climb, and carry items for extended amounts of time with or without reasonable accommodation. Candidate must be able to continuously lift and move items up to 40 pounds. Candidate must be able to endure heat and moist conditions with reasonable accommodation. Candidate must be able to work long periods of time on their feet at a fast pace to insure guest satisfaction. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and special events. Candidate must have the understanding that hours will also vary between day and evening shifts. Candidates must be 18 years of age.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
