Job Summary

We are seeking a highly-skilled, motivated, product-focused Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in statistics and advanced data analysis techniques to enhance our consent-based marketing products. Reporting to our Director of Data Science, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to analyze product usage and make data-driven recommendations that will directly influence our product roadmap and ultimately drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Data Analysis & Insights
    • Ensure stakeholders have clear visibility into product performance by developing and maintaining reporting to track product metrics
    • Identify factors contributing to user attrition and inform strategies to improve customer retention
    • Identify cross-sell opportunities within our customer base, leveraging customer data to recommend additional products or services that align with their needs and usage patterns.
    • Identify customer acquisition drop-off points and optimize user journeys that enhance conversion rates.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with product and engineering teams to identify critical product metrics and track them effectively.
    • Provide data-driven, strategic recommendations that enhance ActiveProspect’s product set.
  • Strategic Projects
    • Contribute to strategic R&D projects that add new capabilities to existing products and open up possibilities for new products
    • Surface opportunities to improve our products by combining your unique understanding of our data and your knowledge of what’s possible with ML and emerging AI capabilities
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data science and product analytics.
    • Continuously monitor and refine data analysis processes and tools to ensure the accuracy and relevance of insights.

Qualifications

Educational Background: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Professional Experience: 

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, preferably at a product-led SaaS organization

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and statistical programming languages such as Python.
  • Expertise in statistical methods, data analysis, and machine learning techniques relevant to product analytics such as regression analysis, time series analysis, survival models, and cluster analysis
  • Experience developing with modern business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, Omni, etc.
  • Experience with cloud-native data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks

Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex data sets to drive actionable insights.

Communication Skills: 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
