Full Job Description

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant
Location: Lauderhill, FL

Salary: $28-$33 per hour, based on experience
Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and relieve pain.
  • Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
  • Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques.
  • Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of various treatment modalities to support patient care.
  • Conduct screenings of residents as scheduled for referral to Physical Therapist.
  • Provide objective data to Physical Therapists as allowed by the scope of practice.
  • Administer physical therapy treatment to residents as indicated in the plan of care.
  • Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehab department, interdisciplinary team (IDT), and overall facility success.
Requirements:


  • Associate of Science in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
  • Current Florida PTA License.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient with computer and technology use.
  • Previous experience preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care practices.
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and modalities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate well with patients.
