Tri-Mation has a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Designer. This position designs and develops controls systems for customer equipment, including panel design and layout, bill or materials and wiring schematics; support development of software interfaces, user interfaces and data collection systems; identify customer requirements, review design specifications, technical drawing and research suitable solutions.

The ideal candidate needs to have 1) Must have at least 2 years of electrical design building experience; 2) Must have thorough understanding of electrical relationships such as voltage, current, power, and AC/DC; 3) Experience with electronic circuitry and electrical schematics; 4) Knowledge of panel wiring and control panel fabrication and assembly; 5) Machine programming including; PLC programming and ladder logic (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.); 6) Self-starter who is comfortable working with others and can provide communication of potential problems; 7) Must be an active team player to support, accept responsibility and collaborate with the team; have effective skills in interpersonal communication, problem solving, critical thinking, empathy, and building relationships; and use independent judgment, creativity, and initiative,; 8) Valid driver's license and is authorized to work in the US. Experience with Eplan software is a plus (training can be provided).

The essential functions and responsibilities include: 1) Support Assembly and Controls Dept. with development, design and implementation, prioritization of work and execution of projects delivered on-time; 2) Read, interpret and understand electrical schematics and drawings including identifying parts to drawing, symbol recognition and material recognition; 3)Assist build assemblies, sub-assemblies, segments of machines and construct/assist in constructing standalone machines and/or large integrated systems; 4) Assemble and update equipment from drawings and / or verbal instructions; 5) Create electrical drawings and schematics; 6) Coordinate layout and design of electrical systems; 7) Perform research and selection of electrical components, and complete BOM; 8) Test and troubleshoot electrical systems; 9) Travel less than 5%; same day and overnight; may have occasional international travel
