Camp Telaphiba is a Summer Dance Retreat in Colorado We are looking to add to our incredible team of camp administrative staff If you are looking for a unique Summer experience and LOVE working with kids - Camp Telaphiba is where you need to be
We have limited spots available, but are looking for administrative staff for the week of July 13-19, 2024
Camp is an overnight camp in Copper Mountain, Colorado. Uniforms, travel, room and board will be provided as well as transportation to and from camp. If out of state - travel will be taken care of as well
Job Description
POSITION: Head of Camp
MISSION:
To lead the Telaphiba team during camp from a global perspective to ensure the entire camper journey is the best it can be to support growth, brand reputation and customer happiness.
RESULTS:

SUCCESS VITALS
BIG 3 GOALS
1. 80% or higher on head of camp review from staff at end of camp
2. Average schedule report score of 4 or higher for entire camp
3. Staff evaluation forms and recommendations 100% complete and sent to Chief Dream Navigator by 4pm on checkout day
VITAL FUNCTIONS: ranked (1-5 with 1 being unacceptable and 5 being exceptional)
1. Train, oversee and direct staff at Camp
2. Manage and manipulate Camp schedule for success of Camp
3. Prepare staff evaluations (for potential rehire) during Camp
VITAL PRIORITIES: ranked (1-5 with 1 being unacceptable and 5 being exceptional)
1. Successful day zero camp training, ongoing feedback during nightly meetings with staff, consistent staff communication throughout camp
2. Directly adjust schedules as issues arise and communicate with appropriate parties (Venue, Third Parties, Campers, Parents, Staff)
3. Observe and complete job description review and provide necessary feedback immediately for all staff during camp and provide overall results/feedback to Chief Dream Navigator during and at culmination of camp.
VITAL METRICS: ranked (1-5 with 1 being unacceptable and 5 being exceptional)
1. Head of Camp review survey by staff
2. Daily schedule report completion and adjustment
3. Complete staff evaluations with recommendations for rehire
OTHER KEY INITIATIVES: ranked (1-5 with 1 being unacceptable and 5 being exceptional)
1. Run nightly meetings with staff
2. Transport campers and staff during (and potentially before and after) camp
3. Orchestrates daily camper schedule management
4. Maintain “Debrief Notes” documents to summarize and review with Chief Dream Navigator at culmination of camp
5. Champion of Check in/Check Out
6. Handles highest level problems/issues
7. Handles early release of campers if necessary
8. Handles all parent issues during camp
9. Emergency management inclusive of incident reporting
10. Deliver thank you notes to staff on last day of camp
11. Send Inventory report to Chief Dream Navigator of apparel sold
12. Host Night Under the Stars Showcase and other Nightly performances throughout camp
13. Lead games, FUN activities and all camper interactions with high-touch engagement to ensure all are having FUN, including WELCOME EACH DAY FOR CAMP, campfire, awards ceremony

15. Orchestrate Chaperone group brainstorming sessions
