Role:

The Universal Banker I provides exceptional member service by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing lasting relationships with existing and prospective members. The Universal Banker I is responsible for processing transactions, as well as member service responsibilities. The Universal Banker I helps members to understand and address their financial needs by utilizing a consultative sales and service approach. Performs functions to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to member service by the credit union, within scope of authority and expertise.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Consistently executes appropriate behaviors in accordance with Align's values and member service standards to deliver an exceptional member experience in the branch.
  • Accurately process all sales, servicing, banking transactions and operational tasks. Follows all credit union security and compliance policies and procedures, including the Employee Accuracy Policy.
  • Completes all member requests including, account opening, servicing requests, issuing debit cards, and routine bank transactions. (deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, etc.)
  • Recommends appropriate solutions to meet member needs. When needed, consults with and/or makes referrals to product specialists who can assist in meeting specific member needs. This includes wealth management, real estate, and commercial lending.
  • Acquires and maintains member relationships over the entire life cycle of the member by identifying and understanding their financial needs.
  • Achieves all assigned member service and sales goals. E 10% Enhances knowledge of the credit union's products and services to promote opportunities to introduce members to all alternative options.
  • Identifies the financial needs of each member served.
  • Assists with branch operational tasks such as cash settlements, ATMs, and cash recyclers, for dual control purposes,
  • Develops and deepens member relationships by taking ownership to resolve members issues efficiently.
  • Adheres to Align Credit Union's policies and procedures. Responsible for compliance with the following regulations: BSA, OFAC, and other regulations, as required. Align Credit Union Structured
  • Continuously increase knowledge and skills through self-motivation, formal education, seminars, and in-house training.
  • Allow member(s) access to Safe Deposit Boxes, as needed. (Hale St. only)

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent. One to three years of customer service and sales experience. A minimum of six months of cash handling experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Must be able to work a rotating schedule of Monday through Saturday.
