Qualifications:

  • M.A. Degree in Speech and Language for K-12
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) issued by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and treatment to all children identified as speech or language impaired.
  • Conduct speech, language and hearing screenings to all students entering Pre-K and kindergarten.
  • Schedule, facilitate and lead eligibility, annual review and re-evaluation IEP meetings for eligible students.
  • Collaborate and consult with classroom teachers, special education teachers and other school staff to organize special education services to help the student be most successful.
  • Complete special education paperwork within meeting and testing timelines efficiently and accurately.

Salary: Based on degree and experience.
