Mount Indie is presently collaborating with our Small Business Prime in the bidding phase for a contract to deliver IT and Cyber Security services to the IT Division within the NSWC Corona Division, Corporate Operations Department. This contract provides support to diverse units, encompassing the Command Information Office, Information Technology Operations, Information Management Customer Services, and Cyber Security.


In alignment with this initiative, we are actively seeking an Information Systems Security Specialist to join our team.


Daily responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and resolving highly complex issues to prevent cyber-attacks on information systems and to keep computer information systems secure from interruption of service, intellectual property theft, network viruses, data mining, financial theft, and theft of sensitive customer data, allowing business to continue as normal.
  • You will be responsible for designing, installing, and managing security mechanisms that protect networks and information systems against hackers, breaches, viruses, and spyware.
  • You will respond to incidents, investigates violations, and recommends enhancements to plug potential security gaps.


Position requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, OR more than seven (7) years of relevant experience in System Security Engineering (SSE) and System Security with DoD major platforms.
  • 3 years experience in DoD program management or engineering related field
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (or certified per the current revision of DOD 8570.01-M) - IAT Level II
  • Certified Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) Level III
  • Experience in SSE and System Security including Critical Program Information (CPI) analysis, protection solution development, integration, testing, V&V, and complete System Security life cycle.
  • Experience in supporting SSE activities as described in DoD Acquisition guidelines.
