Description:
We are currently seeking a Software Engineer based in Huntsville, AL to join our team. Candidates will work in an Agile team environment, where they will actively engage in sprints and other Agile process activities. You will be performing software development and testing in support of the In-Flight Interceptor Communication Systems (IFICS) Data Terminal (IDT) and Phased Array IDT suite of products within a Missile Defense Agency program. This role offers a fast-paced work environment with diverse assignments and collaboration across all levels of the organization.

Basic Qualifications:
• 2 Years of Relative Experience with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering or related STEM field; 0 Years of relative experience with Masters not to exceed 5 years of experience.
• Experience writing code and compiling software programs in one or more of the following languages: Ada, C++, Java, Python
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting software programs
• Familiar with automated software testing tools and methods
• Familiar with DevSecOps and Jenkins continuous integration/continuous delivery and deployment (CI/CD) automation
• Familiar with Software Containerization and Orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Docker)
• Unix/Linux Operating System Experience
• Strong decision making and communication (written and verbal) skills
• Must be able to work in the office in a closed-area work environment
• Ability to work in a collaborative, Agile IPT environment
• Ability and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD secret level; and a minimum of an interim secret clearance will be required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 4+ years experience or Master's degree in Computer Science or related STEM discipline and 2+ years experience.
• Security+ certification
• GMD/MDA Experience
• Experience in Product Owner or Scrum Master roles
• Experience in C++/Java/Ada Software Development
• Experience with UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience in IBM Rational DOORS system software
• Experience in Atlassian Jira software
• Experience in Integrated Digital Engineering Environments
• Experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Software Development
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery in accordance with DevSecOps processes and best practices
• Experience with Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, HELM)
• Experience writing automated software tests
• A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
