Job Description:

Overview: Augmentjobs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst - Financial Governance to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that the company adheres to the highest standards of financial governance and compliance. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enhancing financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Governance Framework: Develop, implement, and maintain financial governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Internal Controls: Assess the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and identify areas for improvement. Lead initiatives to strengthen internal controls and mitigate financial risks.

  • Risk Management: Collaborate with the Risk Management team to identify, assess, and manage financial risks. Provide insights on the financial impact of potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other applicable standards. Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and external auditors.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support governance initiatives, including evaluating the financial impact of proposed changes to policies and procedures.

  • Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations for audits. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial governance reports to senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations.

  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to finance and accounting teams on financial governance practices, internal controls, and compliance requirements.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in financial governance activities. Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of governance processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, CISA) is highly preferred.

  • Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience in financial analysis, financial governance, internal controls, or a related field. Experience in a senior or lead role is required.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of financial governance principles, internal controls, and risk management.

    • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.

    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including SOX compliance, and experience in managing audits.

  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership and project management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications: CPA, CFA, CISA, or other relevant certifications.

  • Industry Experience: Experience in the financial services industry or a large multinational corporation.

  • Project Management: Experience with leading financial governance projects or initiatives.
