deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a SIM Principal Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

As a Senior Principal SW Developer for the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Architecture and Delivery (A&D) SPA SIM team, you will work in a collaborative environment on internal model framework development, internal tactical to model conversion, supporting application development and translation of coding languages for modernization efforts. On occasion you will work to support deliverable documentation of the models developed after performing a verification and validation effort.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in related STEM field

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related STEM field and a minimum 10 years of related experience, not to exceed 14 Years. Or a Master's degree in a related STEM field and a minimum 8 years of related experience, not to exceed 12 years
  • Recent and proficient experience in C++, GoLang, Cython, Bash, Javascript, SQL, MongoDB
  • Recent Experience in GMD GS/GWS Model Development
  • Recent Experience in developing code in a Dev Ops environment using Bitbucket or GitHub
  • Recent Experience in an Agile environment
  • Recent Experience in both Windows and Unix OS environments
  • Demonstrated Communication skills
  • Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment

Special Skills Desired:

  • Computer Science Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with Ada, MATLAB, Rust
  • Experience with Integrated Risk Management
  • Experience with requirements development/collaboration
  • Exposure to Stimulation and Simulation Software
