Division Description:
ITW Deltar Fasteners serves all the major OEMs and their tier suppliers with plastic fasteners totaling approximately $260M in revenues. Units include: Frankfort, IL; Chippewa Falls, WI and our Commercial Sales and Engineering in Troy, MI.

Position Summary:
The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor – Deltar Fasteners will report to the Customer Relations Manager – Deltar Fasteners and will be responsible to oversee all activities as they relate to departmental objectives including delivery performance, customer relations and related administrative practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of employees, including temporary and contract employees.
- Assist with daily Shipping activities such as order processing, receiving, housekeeping, etc.
- Have an in depth understanding of each function within the Shipping Department.
- Attend QAR meetings relating to Shipping caused concerns/8D completion as applicable.
- Establish or update work instructions and procedures as necessary.
- Initial contact for resolution of day to day problems.
- Continuously improve Shipping/Receiving operations.
- Maintenance of accurate inventory and audits.
- Maintain and promote a safe working environment.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations.
- Address employee performance/counseling issues as they arise.
- Scheduling personnel to duties.
- Oversee employee vacation time and schedule coverage.
- Maintenance of overall warehouse area and related activities, including completion of work orders when necessary.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong communication skills; verbal and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Previous Shipping/Receiving or manufacturing experience
- Proven inventory control knowledge and understanding of auditing functions.
- Ability to work effectively in on-demand situations.
