Our busy Nephrology Practice located in Portsmouth, OH is looking for a full-time Medical Biller who can also fill in and help out with office work occasionally. We offer health/dental/ vision. 401K is available after a year of employment. The office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00 PM and Friday 8:00-1:00 PM.
Requirements:
Submit claims electronically.
Follow up on unpaid claims.
Research denied claims.
File appeals and submit corrected claims.
Request patient benefits when needed.
Request pre-certifications/prior authorizations when needed.
EMR experience required.
Must have a solid understanding of the coding and billing processes.
1-2 years of billing experience preferred.
Skills:
Must have solid computer skills.
Math skills.
The ability to talk to insurance companies.
Great communication skills with patients.
