Marketing Leasing Trainee

Position Summary: The Leasing Trainee is responsible for renting apartments.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Marketing Director
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times by being courteous to residents, vendors and co-workers, and treating them with respect.
- Maintain confidentiality by not disclosing any information on a resident or a resident’s account with anyone including the police or law enforcement. Only discuss information with the leaseholder.
- Follow the qualification guidelines for all applicants.
- Lease apartments and cover all of the shop requirements.
- Report maintenance concerns for the model apartments.
- Inspect vacant apartments upon receiving keys to determine whether they are rent ready.
- Maintain knowledge of products offered and the competition.
- Convert prospects from telephone calls to traffic.
- Demonstrate the models with enthusiasm using an effective sales approach.
- Perform and score above average or higher on the Leasing Consultant Evaluation Report.
- Read all emails promptly and respond as necessary in a timely manner.
- Maintain and prepare company reports by deadlines given, review for accuracy prior to submission.
- Order and organize supplies, paperwork, reports, and brochures.
- Check signs and curb appeal, and report any problems.
- Answer the telephone and complete a telephone card for EVERY phone prospect.
- Complete a visitor card for EVERY prospect.
- Follow up on applications, visitor’s cards, and traffic.
- Contact the resident and complete the 30 day call back form and the Reasons for not Renewing form.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Competencies:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and basic math skills.
- Must pass pre-employment spelling and grammar tests.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
