Geri Berkowitz Legacy Finance Internship 


In honor of the late Geri Berkowitz, and VP of Finance at EnergyX, the company is hosting an internship in her honor. Both passion and pride went into her work, and she truly helped to accelerate the efforts of EnergyX. This internship will focus on giving Finance Interns the opportunity to experience and learn from a dedicated Finance and Accounting team. This team actively supports the mission at EnergyX as we make an impact in sustainability and Lithium Extraction. The ideal candidate for this internship will have an interest in the areas of financial market analysis and financial research and analysis. 


Responsibilities 


The Finance Intern will work on a number of projects over the course of three months in support of the initiatives at EnergyX. Some of these projects include the following: 


  • Gathering and preparing extensive research of the lithium industry, including the state of Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) projects around the world, financial transactions of DLE companies, joint ventures that DLE and other energy companies are exploring, upstream lithium developments, and financing assumptions behind lithium projects. 


  • Compiling research into financial models, upstream models, and presentations for long-term use. 


  • Analyzing and developing project finance models for DLE projects. 


  • Assist with the creation of ad hoc financial materials including corporate and investor presentations, fundraising projections, and corporate FP&A


Qualifications

  • Current college student majoring or focusing their studies on Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or Business Administration 
  • Local to Austin, Texas 
  • Self-starter who can work efficiently and independently
  • Must possess great organizational and communication skills. Ability to pay attention to detail. 
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
