Parts Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced parts manager that has strong attention to detail skills and works well under pressure. Your primary role will be to verify and distribute parts in an accurate and efficient manner and in accordance with our operating procedures, which helps team members complete repairs in a timely manner.


Essential Job Duties

  • Check in, inspect, tag and distribute parts immediately upon receipt
  • Inspect all parts for damage and quality/accuracy
  • Verify correct parts by mirror matching within 2 hours of receipt
  • Label and distribute/core parts to Parts Carts/Containers while confirming arrival and accuracy with technicians
  • Post parts within our workflow software in a timely manner
  • Efficiently return incorrect or damaged parts
  • Track incomplete order status (outstanding orders, backorders, and credits) and follow up as necessary
  • Maintain pending credits at zero, or a near zero balance
  • Keep work area clean and well organized
  • Comply with all company safety rules, guidelines and standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned including, but not limited to washing cars, cleaning the shop, assisting other teammates, etc.


Skill/Requirements

 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under company’s insurance policy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates and work orders
  • Actively participate in shop production meetings
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Personable, friendly demeanor with vendors and fellow employees
  • Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance


Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Position is based in a normal collision repair shop environment. Physical activity includes reaching above and below shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping. Lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds is a part of daily activity. Work environment consists of; exposure to chemicals, dust, and fumes along with high levels of noise. Work responsibilities are subject to weather conditions; both inside and out in all seasons and conditions. Wear protective equipment when necessary or as required. Visual acuity is required to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work.
