Painter/Finish Technicians finish all machine installs, including job clean up and final painting. This position is also responsible for taking final pictures and installing all safety decals. Painter/Finish Technicians inspect and make needed repairs to meet OSHA and ANSI standards.
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 5:00 am - 3:00 pm
Responsibilities of Position:
- Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Complete any final welding, cutting, or grinding on equipment.
- Weld steel using Mig and Arc welding equipment.
- Prepare, clean, and paint compactors at customer location.
- Perform general maintenance on compactors.
- Complete all final or touch-up painting of compactors.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company, OSHA and ANSI standards.
- Ensure all safety decals are on completed jobs.
- Document any re-work that is required.
- Take all final pictures of completed jobs.
- Complete required inventory and paperwork utilizing computer system.
- Utilize standard shop hand tools, measuring devices, and equipment.
- Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
- May assist in other projects or areas of the shop as needed.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:
- Knowledge of MIG/ARC and stick welding.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in awkward positions and tight areas).
- Welding and mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to accurately use and read a tape measure and level.
- Possess cutting torch skills; ability to use plasma cutter.
- Required to pass pulmonary test and respirator fit test.
Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:
- Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
- Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language.
